Default i'd check/re-torque all the exhaust fittings

easier said than done, though with downpipes and turbo connections.

Default 1. Check exhaust joints for leaks, 2. make sure that little cap in the bottom of your spare tire...

wheel well is there (there's a drain hole and a little plastic covering), if you have an exhaust leak then the fumes can come up through there easily 3. inspect your EVAP return line (near exhaust pipe as it runs along the spare tire well) - would smell more like gas but people can burn through them with aftermarket exhausts easily.
