Faint metallic noise at part throttle [sound clip attached]
I'm getting an odd mechanical / metallic grating noise from around the RHS footwell / bulkhead area (only audible at low rpm and with air-con, stereo off and windows closed).
BTW, the sound clip was in 1st gear from 1k rpm to 2k rpm.
It only happens on part throttle i.e. when no vacuum and stops when I lift off and seems to sound like it's a rotational noise which increases with engine rpm.
STFA revealed some info on noises following gutting the pre-cat, however it doesn't sound like it could ever be caused by exhaust gases in the DP?<ul><li><a href="http://www.nfxuk.biz/recording1.wav">audio file (wav format)</a></li></ul>
