Default Felling a little disenfranchised...

I've wanted an S4 since the first time I saw one at the beginning of this year. I went to the dealer and it appeared that there was no indication that I was going to have trouble getting one. It now looks like every dealer in the Midwest has been cutoff or something. Every dealer I call hints around that they can't get them anymore but won't come right out and say it. I'm wondering if anyone else is having the same troubles as me. The thing is I really don't want one off a dealers lot because most likely its been taken for joy rides and test drives. The real clincher is that Audi of America still says they are being made until July. One of the two parties doesn't have their story straight. Do these people keep their employess informed? If anyone has any good advice please let me know. S4TT has already tried to give me a hand and it still might pan out.

Default Last S4 build week is coming up in couple months.

A lot of dealers may have already used up their allocation.

Default Don't worry too much about the "on the lot" thing. You can gauge a lot during your own test drive.

If the dealer wants to 4-wheel drift it before it's at operating temp...go somewhere else. Most dealers will not let their test drivers badly abuse the cars. And you might even find one that's still got plastic and shipping junk in place...with very few miles on the odometer to worry about.

Default dude, fly down here...

it will be worth it. i was at don mcgill today (houston) and they were packed with cars. There must have been 10 S4's on the lot. my sales guy told me they were very slow and are looking to get rid of some stock. if i was not faced with unemployment soon, i would trade my tip in for a 6 spd.

Default Last ordering allocation is very very soon...for a July build date

Some dealers may have already had people slotted for their next allocation to order...hence ...no room for any new guys wanting to order.

I can help you find through a broker friend of mine...let me know if you want his contact info. He can find one by utilizing a local dealer to do a locator on your desired configuration.

I would be glad to help.
