This past weekend, I got to test drive two S4s. One silver, one black. First off, silver looks absolutely amazing. The six gaping intake grills really really stand out. I didn't think it would look that good but it had that sophisticated yet bad-*** look. The black on the other hand was absolutely what you would call stealth. They were driving it around and even from a few hundred yards away, you couldn't tell if it was an S4 or not. The only clue: the badge. Nonetheless, the stealth factor also made it very appealing.
I was quite amazed by how masterfully refined and absolutely rock solid the S4 was. It was alot quieter than I had thought. It drove very much like an A4 2.8 when you were just pokin' around. BUT, lay on the throttle and this baby turned into Mr. Hyde. It absolutely hurled you. The exhaust sounded very much like an M3 but it wasn't as raw. This car has a dual personality. It's so smoooooth that it one would never know it could give you such an adrenaline rush. I advise that everyone go out and do a test drive. It just may make your wait even more frustrating! Now, if I can only get to see that Nogaro/silver S4!
