It is time for my 1st (5,000 mile) service and I have some questions:

1) On cold start up I hear a "loud exhaust" sound...kind like the muffler isn't on except that it comes directly from under the hood towards the back of the motor. It only lasts maybe 1 minute and then just dies (like something turned off) and the car runs fine. Always does this and always goes away...Is this normal for other S4s that start in <70 weather every morning or should I ask them to look into it?

2) Going to give them Mobil 1 0-30 Synth to put in. Should I leave them with 6 or 7 quarts...opinions?!?

3) I was thinking of waiting till the 10,000 mile service to rotate tires...thoughts on yes or no?

4) Any wise tips for me to be aware of in first service?

The noise you describe is not normal. Have them check it out.
