Fixing the disconnected 2001.5 - 2002 Brake Booster Vacuum line
I had posted a thread on the issues with the brake booster line setup in the 2001.5 and 2002 S4.
I was lucky enough to have the brake booster line blow out of the vacuum line running from the intake manifold, not once, but twice. After the second time, and the realization that power brakes are important for a car that weighs in almost two tons, I had replaced the brake booster line and vacuum line running from the intake manifold with a line that connects directly from the firewall to the intake manifold.
For those who may not know, the 2001.5 and 2002 brake booster line does not connect directly to the intake manifold, but to another line which runs from the intake manifold and has three other unused outlets for those Stage 3 upgraded S4 owners. The 2001 and 2000 S4 does not run the same set up, rather is has one line that runs from the firewall into the brake reservoir straight to the intake manifold.
So far the car has run extremely well, actually I believe that with the removal of the excess lines, the car has become more powerful to the wheels. I wanted to post the pics. So, here they go:

you need to put a clamp on the connection through the firewall there
it can leak very easily (flexible soft rubber) and you can change the crimped clamp by the intake too ..i did both.
