Florida FMIC dyno testing highlights

wow, that FMIC on the RS4 looks sweet! there is no way to retain the fogs though huh?
but it looks like the side mesh was able to stay...would this be the same deal on an S4 with an RS4 front?
i like it...

Hey ewric have a question on these dyno numbers
I know I am missing something here but hopefully you can explain. I know when you dyno muliple times especially with little air flow, the numbers ( HP and TQ ) drop on the SMIC but with the fmic they seem to up, not down from run to run. by the last run, hp goes up to 316 from 301.6 on the first run. Because the heat generated by the 3rd run causes less pressure drop ? Why is that ?
Great info though by the way. I will call out to some folks in colorado to see about a vaction stop over. JG

Well....
No two dyno runs read the same, I think it's just a spead of data to be used for averages when trying get a "number".
The ECU in the S4 is just monkeying with the HP too much based on conditions that are changing from run to run. We might have seen 320 whp had we kept going.
Just wanted to get a feel for where the gains were.
I'll post the graphs when I come home.
Even more "crazy" is that these gain were made with LESS boost that the smic runs. Apparently the ECU prefers timing for power and turned down the boost.
I was thinking of you when we NOS misted the fmic to get it down to your daily driving temps.
