Fog lights *periodically* dont go on. Where should I look?

Default Fog lights *periodically* dont go on. Where should I look?
Relay (modded) is securly in place, fuse is fine - wtf else could be wrong? Could the relay possibly short sometimes and work fine other times? TIA

Default its the relay...
mine was modded...was fine for a year or two... then it just stopped working completely. i put a friend's stock relay in there, and the fogs work fine.
