Default follow-up mtm springs impression (super long)

even i didn't expect myself writing this review this soon because it is only the 5th day since i had the springs put on my car. however, something really stupid just happened to me on the way back home.

ok, i was driving home from san francisco to san jose and i took 101, 85 and 280. when i was going from 101 to 85, i noticed this black civic cutting people off aggressively to get onto the highway 85 ramp. this was the first thing i didn't like this car, but i minded my own business driving at around 75mph to 80mph. but then, i started to notice that this car was tailgating me and i kinda accelerated to get away from it. but all he tried to do was cut in front of me, that was obvious to me because he all of a sudden cut to the left lane and accelerated. no way i would let him do that because i had to keep the name of our s4 "clean" from those civic, so i pushed a little bit, but still below 90mph. it's been going on for about 3 miles and then i let go and pulled to the far right lane because i had my girlfriend and another friend in my car and i don't race when i have passengers. so he did what he intended to do for a long time and cut in front of me (if he wanted to go fast, there's a lot of room on the left lane, so his intention was obvious) but really, i was pissed because i didn't deserve this, so i told my passengers, "sit back!"

we're now at the 85/280 intersection, i was going 280 south, and so did he. for those of you who live around the area, you know the ramp from 85 south to 280 south. it is curvy in a way that the stock s4 would lean a lot and feel kinda scary in high speed, at least to me. but since i already made up my mind and announced the "sit-back" warning, i downshifted to 5th and gunned it. concentrating on the road, i didn't know how fast i was going until my friend said i was already beyond 100mph. even i was pissed, i still could feel that the car was very stable on the curve at such speed, not leaning too much and i felt so confident. with safty in my mind, i didn't really take it all out, but i was sure that it's definitely not close to the limit yet. rear end was in place and everything was tight and in control. i really liked it. and of course, the poor civic was a dot in the mirror.

i merged onto 280 south hitting the brake since i was going too fast, of course, car didn't dive much like it did in stock, another good thing about the mtm springs. but the story didn't end here. as i slow down to about 65mph - 70mph, thinking that it's all over, that guy pulled next to me and CUT ME OFF AGAIN!!! i couldn't take it any more, even my passengers couldn't take it. i went 5th, 4th and continued to floored it until... until i felt like i punished/showed him enough and, for the very first time, i hit the hazard (i had to look for it...) then he backed off. or else, i think he'd probably brag to his friends that he beat an s4.

side story, after i beat that jerk (sorry, have to use this word) and took my exit. i met an santorin. i waved him, he waved me back. it felt good. it's been a long time since another s4 owner waved to me... it's sad. i'm sure people on this forum will wave but i guess i just don't have the luck to meet too many of you out there.

Default NIIICE

I'm going to sample....if i can wake up in time...the MTM+Koni setup tomorrow.

You are in NORCAL!!! That's one of the more active groups...get in on the fun! =)

Yeah i had a silver S4 NOT wave to me either....goobers.....=)

Those honda boards are HILARIOUS when they mention the S4. One guy will say that he creamed one, and even his honda buddies would jump down his throat by way of his large intestine and tell him he's a schmuck.....i think the thread is here somewhere...... =)<p>-Cheng
