A friend just gave me a 5gallon jug of VP103...its about a year old...ok to use?

A friend just gave me a 5gallon jug of VP103...its about a year old...ok to use?
he found it, has no use for it, and gave it to me. its still sealed in the VP barrel. i have no idea if gas goes bad with time.. thanks for any help

i think its ok to use.....its just that the "Octane" rating of it goes down when racegas sits.......
so it might not be 103 Octane anymore, but perhaps 100? Either way, still good stuff...imho
