front brake caliper stripped
So, I was installing (finally) SS brakelines on my B5 S4. Everything was going well, got the rears, got the front driver, and front passenger.
So, it seems that I goofed it and ended up stripping the metal brake line hole in the caliper. Front passenger. If looking at the lines. Metal line > Brake Host (stainless now) > metal brake line > caliper.
Where the metal line connects to the caliper, that hole, I stripped.
So, I mangled up the bolt pretty good trying to get it out, so I will either have to get a new one at the dealer or make my own.
What I want to do now is use my Time-Sert (Basically like a heli-coil, but better IMHO) and pop an insert in there. What I need to know is what is the thread of the metal brake line? Does anyone know?
