Default Front End Noise

I installed the Vogtland GT kit and the entire Febi control arm kit a few months ago.

I am now getting a groaning somewhat squeeky noise from the front end when I turn the steering wheel. It is hardly noticeable and intermittent when it is cool out. It becomes almost constant and much louder when it is warm out. It seems to get worse the warmer it gets.

I have not had a chance to get the car up on the lift yet and look around.

I saw post by Skydive back in June stating "Febi bushings get noisy with heat. Get TRWs and save the grief."

Has anyone else had a problem with the Febi stuff making noise when it gets hot outside?
I have only seen that one post and no further discussion about the issue.

The front end was dead quiet before the install. I was very careful to torque everything to factory specs.

The only thing I had a real problem with was the nuts that screw onto the top of the shocks. I got them as tight as possible, but the hex key was starting to spin inside the top of the shocks and round them out. I was afraid I would totally round out the hex if I tightened it to full spec.

Default had the same exact issue, when it got hot out the suspension started to

moan/creak/sqeak, it would never make any noise if it was 75 degrees or under. In my case it was the upper c/a that were making the noise. On a really hot day, they were driving me crazy so I jacked up the car and grabbed the upper arms and when I started to move the upper arms, they made that noise. After changing just the upper arms I have been noise free for months.. BTW, the arms showed no signs of wear at all when I changed them.

Default Had you recently replaced your control arms? Mine are new.

Were yours also the Febi brand?

Default YES!

mine is doing this too, feels like the tires are squeaking on the ground, feel a little feedback through the steering wheel.

Only happens when it is HOT out. I just replaced all my front arms with the kit from PureMS.

damn.

Default I have the exact same symptoms.

I replaced a left lower CA because the rubber boot as torn, but the noise prevails. Very frustrating!
