Default Front end vibration....

I have a front end vibration which occurs at freeway speeds beginning at around 75 mph and somewhat dissappating at around 85. There is no shuddering under braking or at any speeds lower than 75, no erratic handling issues, just the shimmy. Thought it might have been some of the bushings going out since there was some some pull on uneven pavement so I redid the whole front end with high grade replacement bits (lemforder TRE's, Febi CA's, etc).

While I did find some blown boots on some arms and the front end certainly feels MUCH firmer, there is no more pull on uneven pavement, and the shimmy is greatly REDUCED, it still vibrates at 75mph. I've had the car aligned and thought maybe it was a wheel out of true or weighted poorly. I took the car in and had the wheels balanced and they are spot on.

Any bright ideas? CV joints look okay, and I'd always thought a bad bearing would be pretty obvious but...?

Default Not Sure...

What you mean by what kind of balancing but I had it done at Costco (bought the tires there, BTW great prices on BFG KDWs with free road hazard ins. etc.) using whatever machines they normally use.

There is always a chance of a bent wheels but I don't recal any HUGE hits lately. Maybe it's a good excuse for some new CCW rims =9
