With all the new photo radar monitored intersections in So Cal, I guess the cops have decided to up their efforts to enforce the required front plate law. Last night I got nailed by 3 motorcycle cops hiding on Lankershim Blvd in North Hollywood. Pull me over for speeding, running a red, or any moving violation, and go ahead and tack on the front plate fixit. But pull me over *only* for the plate? LAME. It's comforting to know that America's Finest are protecting us from missing front plates.

While we're on the subject, I've been driving around with the bracket in my trunk waiting to get it painted (lt metallic silver) to match my car. Should I do this? Or just leave it black? Anyone know how much I should expect to pay for this?
