Fuel filter woes.....
I've read ever write up twice, every comment thrice and have been under the car for 5 hours WITH a 8mm 12 point and a gear wrench to match. I am beaten. I have the gas tank dropped and the lower banjo off and fuel is drained. I can twist the filter a few degrees as well. My nut is stripped as was expected but I cannot get the thing to pull out!. I have gone full scale McGuiver on this job and am coming up short. I need some suggestions.
I was thinking of putting the banjo bolt in and pulling on that but I know how fragile they are from my turbo swap. A lugnut fits but only on the top (that would have been great if it fit the bottom.
Yes I have tried Channel locks. Yes I have used screwdrivers and lubed up the filter all to no avail. I will not give up. Please help. On jackstands, dirty, tired and frustrated. I could have had 2 sets of piggies on by now.....

THis is the 2nd AUDI F-up that could have been avoided if they though about it for a second...
If Audi was going to use an inferior anchor system (plastic) on a critical part, why not use a cheat that is already almost there? A lug nut removed from one wheel would have been the greatest pulling point to remove this bitch. Audi put the hole that accepts the lug nut on the top, which is useless.
Other one was Audi's ingenious idea to put a long bolt into the bottom of the front control arm and assemble it so you had no clearance to pull it out once the suspension was fully assembled. All they had to do was reverse it and put the nut on the other side where there is plenty of room.
It's like publishing a book without editing it one last time.
