fuel line repair ?
I have a b5 s4 and the fuel line from the tank that is screwed on to the fuel rail in the engine bag seems to be leaking right where it's attached, the metal fitting that surrounds the rubber is leaking. I called the dealer and they said you need to replace the entire line fron the tank because it's one-piece. Has anyone had this problem and how did you fix it.

yeah, that is a common point for those lines to leak. Often this happens when the temps start to change and the compression fitting no longer seals properly.
There's no upgraded fuel line (braided), as far as I know. I even asked VAST and they don't have anything. I was able to tighten mine slightly and that stopped the leak for the moment, but you have to be very careful not to over tighten!
Aside from that, yes, you have to replace the entire hose if you decide it needs a replacement. If you feel confident in your mechanical skills you can try to replace the compression fittings, but you will have to find an exact match.

Ironically, my line is leaking this winter and my usual tactic of unfastening and refastening the compression is no longer effective. I took a closer look at the fuel feed line and, at least on mine, the compression fitting is attached to a short length of rubber hose that runs to a hardline near the firewall where it is secured with a common hose clamp. I see no reason why the entire fuel feed line all the way back to the fuel pump would have to be replaced....you could just remove and replace the short section of hose and the compression fitting.
I've contacted 034 and looked over their product line. They have an assortment of fuel line kits and fittings for installing FPRs - I'm pretty sure you could use those components to fix the leaky fuel line issue but it might require also replacing the fuel rail with an 034 upgrade. Total cost for all this looks to be in the $500 range. I'll post again when I get a response from 034.
btw, this is the kit I'm talking about:

Alright, so VAST doesn't have an off the shelf fix. I'm going to the dealer to order this - I'll post the part number once I get it.
I can't justify buying a fuel rail and FPR kit just for the sake of repairing a leaky fitting.

Thanks!
Btw, I confirmed the part number with the dealer, it's the hose plus the fitting - goes for around $70. ECS carries it as well:

Although, for some strange reason they list it as a part for a B5 Audi A3 2.0T. As the southpark version of Johnny C. put it "that don't make no sense". It appears to be the right part though.
I got a response from 034 too. Basically, you can swap out the fuel rail and the fuel feed line - you can't use them separately though. This is a nice upgrade, but it costs $$$, just under $400. The product pages are:

I just did this repair myself and was thankful for these part numbers. I didn't even know what the part was called, but this thread helped me figure it out.

Mine just started leaking.....
It's been real cold here in NC. The dealer said that Audi only sells the entire assembly, meaning the ridged underbody line as well. I wonder why you can find just the hose part No.4B0201541C on-line but Audi will only sell their own dealers the entireassembly. Is this the part you all purchased:
Audi B5 S4 2.7T - 4B0201541C - Fuel Supply Line - ES#251747
