Full Throttle Hesitation Question - Advise Needed
My 2001.5 S4 has a small but annoying hesitation at full throttle that has been there since day one. Friend with A6 2.7T has similar issues. It's most obvious driving uphill at elevations above 5000 ft on smooth roads. Dealership tells me that Audi knows about it but hasn't come up with a fix. No Vag-Com error codes/DTC's. MAF or knock sensor? Any known fixes? All advise is welcome.

its a common issue
Most people here do what they call a 3/4 throttle mod. Where you actually put in a stopper so you can't go full throttle.. ITs somehting to do with the DBW that causes hesitation..

Known as the 3/4 phenomenon. Try holding the pedal at 3/4 see what happens. Thought it was only with
2k production. Im in the process of doing the bolt weld thing. Do a search, I know someone has done it here before.

Re: Full Throttle Hesitation Question - Advise Needed
Thanks. I've seen the posts but hadn't considered it. It goes against my basic "carburator" logic to hold the throttle down 3/4 way to floor. I'll test it out.
