Third ROC

Just left the Porsche/Audi Store in Plano after a friendly visit for some ECU diagnostics...headed down a mildly curvy 3 lane local road at about 55 (posted at 40)...I pass a shiny new red IS300 with extremely dark tint and 2 people inside.

A moment later, it does a ricer fly by at probably 65 and hits the red light up ahead. Being game, I pull into the right lane to get next to him and have a go, but the light turns green just as I creep up. Well, I wasn't caught to far off gaurd but I also wasn't able to use my trump card...a clutch smoking quattro launch (should have gauranteed me at least a 2 car lead).

So he gets a little jump on me at the green light, but I make it up to have about 1/4 of a car lead by the end of 1st gear (~35mph). By the end of second gear (~60) I had ~2 cars. By 80mph I had 4-6 cars. I kept going up to 100mph, but I either really creamed him (10+ cars) or he most likely gave up after 80.

The best part is that as I waited for him at the next light, I watch in my rear view mirror as he pulls into the Lexus dealership. Must have been taking a test drive! The salesman is going to have a hard time finishing off that sale!

S4 mods: NONE (250 hp/265 lb-ft) + Check Engine light for 02 sensor problems

p.s. couldn't tell if the IS300 was stick or auto (it was behind me!)

Dark tint on 'new' Lexus? Might just be a salesman there.
