Default FYI: Quaife ATB

The Quaife ATB differential is now available for the front of the S4. It is actually a slightly modified version of their 944 diff application. Sharon and I just installed one in THWAP, so once we start racing, we'll let you know how it works!

The current price is $1495, and it was a drop-in replacement for the stock front diff. We installed new taper roller bearings, and moved the stock ring gear over (with new bolts), and slapped it in.

http://www.quaifeusa.com/</a

Default THWAP

thwap (th WAP) n. The sound of orange pylon and large heavy german car crashing together.

Originally coined while watching Corey (in his nogaro S4) take out at least three sequential cones at the finish of an autocross at Candlestick park (shorly before the delivery of my S4).

Is there a non-EDL rear diff option for the S4 or just the front?

Ha. Nope. Peavey is a ProSolo series sponsor, so we have to run that decal.

Default They recommend a 944 turbo lsd instead. The torque-biasing setups will cause some

problems when you lift a wheel in the rear since they are torque-multiplying you'll get 0 rear drive when you lift.
