So, here is the main question... should I definitely get the piggie pipes while getting this done, or not really necessary. Budget is of concern.

If you do it the way Piggie(I copied his) and I did them they will fit. I did not install the pipes, but I assume my installer just cut the wire ties and relocated the wires. I think its a stretch but it works. If you want to spend the money, I suggest the Zoldman O2s. They are high quality and are plenty long. You can buy them through Vast Performance. I was cheap and kept them stock...so far so good :-)

Definately do it! I was at Stg 2 for a few months then added piggies. Huge difference!
