Default got APR chip yesterday...all i can say is weehaaa!!!!!!

got it installed at rapid parts in Monsey NY. my car is definatly much faster but when i punch it in first gear, it feels as if it goes back into stock mode at around 5k rpm for about a second and back into chip mode. I got the 93 oct. and stock flipswitch also with the antitheft. it only does this in first. you might think its the clutch slipping but i also just had an rs4 clutch put in about 1 month ago. overall im happy with it. if you guys could give me som info tia

Default I have the APR 93 chip too. The boost tapers off as the RPMs go up. I do not think the power drop

is related to your clutch. It is becuase the boost levels go down at higher RPM levels.

Default its not a gradual loss in power, its like a complete drop like the car hessitates for a second

and comes back but only in first gear

I think the boost is purposely limited in first gear . . .

Default Do a throttle body adaptation on a COLD motor

I had a similar problem (though it was in all gears, not just first) and it turned out to be from doing a throttle body adaptation (with a VAG tool) on a hot motor. Let it cool down completely and did it again, and the hesitation was gone.

Default before starting it for the first time i let it sit with the key on (car off)...

to let the throttle body align itself which is recomended for about three minutes. ill probably go to the dealer to run VAG for codes.
