got a question re: upgrading s4 turbo
I am presently the proud owner of a 98 2 door M3 (please no flames for that comment) with some minor upgrades. However, I am now also a proud father of a 3 month old girl. I want to get the S4 so I can have the practicality of a 4 door, but the fun of driving an awd, twin-turbo 6 speed.
I want to upgrade the S4 when I get one with a bunch of things, but I want to know if anyone has any experience with blow off valves and the 2000 S4. Any particular manufacturers that have been used like GReddy, HKS, or APex'i. I also want to get the APex'i S-AFC and was wondering if anyone has used it in their ride.
Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Why is everyone fixated on BOV's??? Before even getting the car?
It doesn't NEED them, or boost controllers, or turbo timers, or any other of the hacks that older turbocharged Japanese cars needed.
Put them on if you want, but they will not improve the performance or the reliability of the 2.7T to any great effect - and may cause problems.

I used an APex'i Super-AFC in a Turbo Civic...
I had a 95 Civic EX that had a GReddy Turbo Kit, and all the other goodies. The S-AFC worked beautifully, but I needed it because the stock Honda ECU was completely incapable of understanding what was now happening under the hood. It was nice to have readings on everything, however. So far, I have not heard of the need for one of these in an S4 as the "chipping" process takes care of the additional air/fuel needs and the car has plenty of "reserve" built in to it. Hope this helps.
