Default got tinted. as soon as i left the tint place, noticed radio was not working. (more- HELP!!!)

it was the strangest coincidence i guess.

i arrived at the tint shop with my factory radio on and listening to a CD in my factory trunk CD changer.

i was there during the whole install of 20% tint. and no door panels were taken off. the only thing i can think of is that maybe some water got on the tweeters in the top part of the front doors.

well, tint went on nicely and i was leaving the tint place. i tried to turn on the radio but no power. so i went back to the tint place thinking that this is the oddest thing to happen.

the first thing i did was open the trunk and try to eject the tray of the CD changer to see if it had power. i then opened the side panel where the fuses are and checked 37, which corresponds to the radio. fuse was fine, confirmed with test light. i then checked all the fuses just in case.

for fuse 37, i actually removed the fuse then put it back in. i tried turning on the radio and strangely enough, it now worked.

BUT, when i pressed "CDC" it did not go to my trunk CD changer.

i then tried to eject the tray and it came out so now the CD changer is getting power.

well, i decided to head out because i had to meet someone. radio was playing fine until we stopped for dinner. when we came back to my car (night time by now), the whole radio was dark and obviously would not turn on.

i pulled out the fuse and put it back in just to see what would happen, and sure enough it starts working again but the CD changer cannot be switched to.

anyone have an idea what is going on?

maybe i am missing something really stupid here or my radio is just dying.

please let me know. TIA.

Default sounds strange. when i got my tint and turned the radio on, it made a loud high pitched sound that

wouldn't stop. I parked for a while and when I came back it worked fine...never happened again since.

Default So did mine and also a friends. For about one day. Never figured it out. Never happened again.

Assumed it was water shorting the amp or rear deck speaker somehow.

Default Most people I know who have gotten tinted have had issuse until all the water dries behind the film.

I dint know why, but it seemed that when antenna that is in the window is wet, it screws up the head unit.
