Had a run-in with CHP last night/this morning . . .

Had a run-in with CHP last night/this morning . . .
About 1:30AM I'm heading home (Bay Bridge East) and there's madd traffic, so I get off at Bryant St. & proceed to zoom up Bryant to get to the car pool entrance at 2nd St. They decided to shut down 3 of the 5 lanes Eastbound to do work. AARRGHH!!! So I'm just left the light at 4th St. kinda fast and some peeps at the Shell Station all looked as they listened to my Milltek exhaust roll by at WOT. Cross 3rd & CHP is waiting for me!
DAMN! So I slow down and realize that the carpool lane entrance is backed up too, so I proceed to change lanes (3 lanes) to make a left on 2nd. Now we all know how we "really" change lanes versus how we change lanes while cops are around. So I end up getting behind the CHP officers and they check out the car when they do this. We make a left on 2nd & they slow down as I move to the right lane to make a right turn on Harrison. I look over at them and give them a nod. Just after that, he flashed me with the flood light!!! ****!!! What did I do? So I stop & roll down the window, and it goes a lil' somethin' like this . . .
CHP: What kind of car is that?
MoB: It's an Audi S4
CHP: Is that a sport version or something?
MoB: Yes sir, it is.
CHP: Haven't seen that before. Looks nice! Like the blue!
MoB: Cool! Thanks!
CHP: Be safe on the bridge and watch your speed, there's construction going on.
I wish all of my CHP encounters could be like this!!!

Man .... Am I the only one that gets stopped for not doing anything on a regular basis AND ticketed
I don't get ticketed for the stuff I should (knock on wood), but sit in front of a stop sign for 5 minutes at 3 am on a residential street and then pull out and get ticketed for failure to stop... uhh WTF?!
Talking to a friend in front of her house at 4 am... and I get ticketed for loitering. WTF?
I've had to go to court umpteen times during my NJ driving career and managed to beat all of them but it's still a pain in the ***...
That's a pretty cool cop though. I've actually gotten that impression from most CHP. They're pretty professional and understanding.
One thing though... I _ALWAYS_ change lanes the same way.... remember? It pisses you and bryce off =)
