Default Has anyone changed the wire from alternator to battery positive? The little 8AWG isn't enough

and I need to change it to at least a 4awg and was wondering what the easiest way to do it would be? where should I pull the wire through? And how big of a fuse should I be using on a 4 gauge thats only a few feet long? 150amp enough?

Default I'm getting too much dimming from my amplifiers, battery isn't charging fast enough and the

tiny wire is definitely a problem

Default Capacitors will create more harm than good...

first things first, the 8 gauge from alternator to battery is too small and definitely needs to be changed, too much juice being sucked out and not enough being fed.
Capacitors help with burps, but when the bass is very frequent the caps don't have enough time to charge and just put even more strain on the electrical system.

Default I'll bet it's not your alternator..

I'm thinking one cell on your battery is about to go.. Afterall winter is about done...bring it to a shop..even Auto Zone.. they will do a free load test... 1 cell bad you can still start some cars. but it will suck the power from any alternator and your systems.
