has anyone tried to replicate sharkweb?
or does anyone know of an easier way of integrating an LCD screen to have a stock finish?

I'm not really familiar with all the different navi options...
what other options are available for our cars? and what makes the dvd based nav not work?
I'm guessing the nav+ is the euro navi?

yup, Nav+ is the euro based one. The older one works, Zev carries them
the new DVD MMI based one gets all its signals from the CAN bus rather than some of the older communications methods our cars use. Theres a few adapters out there, but as far as i know none of them successfully translate all the signals yet.
If the DVD Nav+ ends up not being an option, something like this looks really cool.

http://www.audimods.com/S4Per_Custom_Carputer/index0.html</a

by installing a mini computer...
wouldn't that resolve those issues?
by having gps software and a receiver...
I'm thinking the whole touch screen thing isn't all that useful, more so that it's a really cool novelty item.
I like the idea of having all those options packaged into one device that is interfaced through an in-dash touch screen lcd.

yeah me too - i could give a crap if the Nav part of the Nav+ works, i just like that it packages an
LCD screen in a stock unit. I'd go with the old one, but i couldnt deal without being able to play CDs in-dash
