Definetely go for the S-03s over the AVS's.

Yes, I'm running them right now. Softer ride than the AVS. Better in the rain.

I had 235/40/17 S-02 PPs mounted to my 17x8 Oettinger REs. I ended up with about 12K road miles, 1 auto-x, and 5 track days before I burned them up. They are fantastic tires.

Posatives: GRIP, GRIP, GRIP, did I mention GRIP, they speak to you well before giving up, and they are great in the rain.

Negatives: Just a little noisy on the highway.

With the recent drops in price due to the arrival of the S-03s, if you can find a set, buy them...you'll like em. I did!!

Definately bumpier than stock tire size. Good perf, but I'm going back to 225-45s next time.
