Default To the HB audience, MAF related

Does anybody knows how a RS4 MAF sensor transfer curve is related to the S4 bosch maf sensor?
I thought that a RS4 sensor on a S4 housing would result in a similar pattern, but the ECU couldn't even maintain idle. It is running far too lean.
Does anybody knows why?

With a 35% lesss cross section on the RS4 sensor it should bring the mixture to the rich side. The RS4 has a 35% higher scale, so I had though that It would, at least, work.

thx

Default OK, I will try next week also. I will ...

I will receive a new Bosch S4 MAf from overseas and try to tune my car. I just finished the running in of my rebuilt engine.

If you could find some answers its going to be great!

I use UNICHIP and they have a program to monitor the MAF behavior and than use the MAP/RPM to simulate the load signal to the ECU. If I could make the RS4 and S4 MAF to work, I will try to map their behavior. But its gonna take some time as I only play with the S4 once a month.

thx
