Default Heel-Toe vs. Ball-Blade Driving

Well I've been doing some experimenting with my stock pedals in an attempt to improve my rev-matching while braking & downshifting (gotta save those synchros afterall). I've come to the conclusion that, with the stock pedals, 'ball-blade' driving is far more effective than heel-toe driving.

I'm not sure what aftermarket pedals can do to make it easier to heel-toe, but I find it nearly impossible to do with the stock pedals. Primarily because the gas pedal is so much deeper set than the brake pedal.

I've got some simple pics below to help explain what I'm talking about:

My foot simply won't tweak into this position with any control:

This I found MUCH easier to do, and I can do it with control. I just started doing it two days ago, and I've got it down to a science now with very controlled braking while matching revs very effectively.

What do you guys with aftermarket pedals think? Anyone else think ball-blade driving is just way easier?

Default That is actually the same thing. "Heel and Toe" is the term for both...

What's important is that you are comfortable and can brake effectively and blip the throttle...not your actual foot position.

This is how I've always done it:

Default I've been doing it since I've known how to drive.

My feet are too big to heel-toe and just wide enough to "ball-blade". I think it's easier, personally, but to each his own.
