HELP A CANADIAN S4 BECOME FULLY CLOTHED!!
Hey Guys. Can anyone with access to a Bentley CD post the expanded diagram for removal of the fog light switches and the instructions. I have been trying to pull the plate off covering the cup holder, emergency light switch, and fog switches, but I think there is more to it than a good old pull on the plate. I see some bolts on the inside. I am trying to finish the front fog light install. Canadian S4 owners, the fog lights fit !!! No problems at all. Not sure where Canadian Audi dealers came up with their "no foglights because of the bumper standards bull****" because they fit no problem and the harnesses and relays are all there. All you need to do is take the bumper cover off and the harness is tucked away on each side. You do of course need to buy a new set of US spec bumper grills. TIA to anyone who can help me with me the Bentley info.

It is held on by several pressure clips. The easiest way is to open teh cup holder
and start pulling on the trim piece. Try the bottom part first. The plate will eventually come off. Then you have access to all of teh switches above the radio. No bolts are involved.

I noticed that there were some clips holding the wood trim on, but I wasn't sure if I pulled on the trim if it would slide out or break !! I hear those pieces are a bit on the steep side :-( Thanks again for the confirmation :-)

Re: Canadian cars don't have fogs there because of the law....
Heard that before, but hard to believe. The old model Canadian A4 - B5 chassis ? comes with both xenon for night driving, and foglights which act as the daytime running lights. The wiring harnesses for the headlights on the old A4 fitted with xenon and foglights can't be that different from the S4. They could very easily make the fogs on the S4 the DRL's. Apparently the real reason they excluded both xenon and foglights in Canada, was to keep the car in a lower rating bracket for insurance purposes.

We went 'round with this a couple of years ago.....
When the TT came out they had to have that wierd little bump (looks like a rub strip) on the front bumper because of the 5mph bumper laws in order to have zenons. As you say,we on the other hand, didn't get zenons or fogs even though the A4 could be ordered with. Makes no sense other than a price point issue ie profit margin for VW/Audi Canada, so they left out fogs and zenons.
