Default Help diagnosing a problem...

Ok well I know what I'm going to have to do... Pressure test and VAG but I haven't been able to yet, and my car is going in for its 40k tune up this week so I figured I'd have them look at it unless advised not to...

Car stats/mods: 01' S4 w/ X-chip, milltek exhaust, 710Ns (only 4k miles on them) car has 40k on it... 6spd

Heres the symptoms... I'm getting the dentist drill rather loud now... A week or two ago my Oil Min light came on and I had to put about 1/3 quart in to get it to go away... My gas miliage is horrible probably about 15mpg on average if that... and car seems to be sluggish at times, other times it pulls great, its very hit or miss... Also the CEL has been on 3-4 times on and off and currently its off...

I'm going to check the TBB tomorrow for leaks, and hopefully order the stuff needed to build the pressure tester... I will try to locate a VAG but the car is going in on thurs so I am not sure what to do...

I plan on switching to the PLATINS during my 40k as well as upgrade to fully synthetic oil... anything else I should have done?

If its the turbos going should I try to get ahold of a stock ECU b4 servicing it?

TYIA!!!

Default Get a stock ECU, and hope for the best!

It's tough to tell anything with out knowing fault codes...

Depending on your dealer, you may want to start saving some $$$ for new turbos.

Default I have good news and bad news

Firstly the Bad News:
It lasts about a week from *loud* dentist drill to total failure. Full acceleration will seem to come and go, and it will be unusually sluggish on the last day. You will be tempted to punch it - each time could be the last time - and then instant oil-smoker.

You may last longer by turning down the boost with Lemmi, but a clean stock ECU would be the smart choice.

Never go to the dealer with anything but <A href="https://forums.audiworld.com/s4/msgs/1682547.phtml">stock</A>

Now the Good News:
If you arent tempted to go K03's again this is the opportune time to buy some K04's and ask Imolavirus to make them hybrids.
