First, my insurance didn't cover it b/c of my $500 deductible (although if it requires a "repair only" then they will cover any amount below the deductible).

The guy from the place recommended by State Farm does the following:
- scratches the paint on my hood
- he glues the side rubber seals on TOP of the windshield, rather than inserting them in the groove flush
- a large gap in the top corner means I can see right down to the inner painted metal since there is no seal or windshield covering it
- strange creaky noise from inside

Could this idiot have done a worse job? He told me to leave some blue tape on the edges for two days, but I can clearly see the mistakes below (I think he just wanted to cover a bad job).

Any suggestions on how to best resolve this?

i also had a windshield replaced on my A4 on Friday. i didn't look at it closely after pulling the blue tape today, but now you got me paranoid.

anyways talk to State Farm and make them take care of you.

Had mine done recently, they did an excellant job.

They said if there were ANY problems, to bring it back promptly, and they would fix immediately.
Local chain called windshield world.
Didn't have any tape on it when I left. There only caution was to not slam the door shut with the windows closed for at least 24 hrs.
