HELP!!! The people who have removed the front seats...
I was wondering what you used to remove the two bolts that anchor the seat to the car. I believe the allen screw is 6mm. There is so much torque to that screw, that I'm having trouble removing it.
I'm going to try to use my "big ***" torque wrench (2 ft long) and hook up a 6mm male socket to remove the two bolts in each front seat.
What did you guy'd use? The swiss army style allen keys are not working for me.
TIA
Joe

Try the long torque wrench...
remember when I called you over the weekend because I could not get those screws out we talked about. Anyway, after I WD-40ed them there was no difference...those things would not budge...anyway, I tried the torque wrench thing, and...without any effort at all they both came out - give it a try....a little physics is a good things every now and then...

I don't understand...if you can get a big *** torque wrench in there, then
why are you using the swiss army style allen wrenches? I've never taken the seats out, but if there is room for the proper tool, why not use it from the start? You might want to use a breaker bar for this...why screw up your torque wrench doing something it might not have been designed to do? A bolt that was torqued to 100 ft-lbs may need 150 ft-lbs of torque to remove...so depending on how tight this nut/bolt assembly is, you may exceed the rating of the torque wrench.

When I took out matt and bens front seat they were not that tight. I just extened the allen wrench
so i had more leverage. They came out without a problem. Are you turning them the right direction?
