Hi, could you point me in the direction of a good shop in the area, pref north side/northern suburbs? I just moved here and have my car at the dealer, heres what they say is wrong and i dont want to pay what theyre asking.
#4 coil bad
Brakes - 4 rotors + pads corroded beyond repair
both rear differential seals leaking fluid
Car is a 2001, ~56k miles (figures this happens post warranty) and lowered w/ H&R/bilstein. Any shop tips?

Which dealer is at now? Brakes, pads , rotors are DIY......(edit)...
Don't pay dealer prices or even "other shop" prices for this. Get some aftermarket pads and rotors and you'll find plenty of help in the area...which north burb are you in?
As far as the leaking rear diff. seals...I've heard great things about this guy "Al" @
Chicago Performance & Tuning Company
6057 West Dickens Avenue, Chicago, IL 60639
(773) 637-7700
EDIT: Also, a coilpack takes about 15 minutes (maybe) to change...how do they know it's bad?

Try the Chicago forum. Also, buy your pads and rotors online- ...
you will save some cash and probably get better rotors for the money. Also, I would approach a tech at one of the audi dealerships and see if you can get the work done on the side. Also, brakes you can have done anywhere.

Advice: get a refund, pick some wheels you like from TireRack....
call TireRack - pick tires too - pay your money and you will have wheels/tires in 2 days.
I love Tirerack - they ship immediately, GREAT customer service!!!!

I like them a lot - I have 225-45-17s (stock size) - they are pretty meaty tires....seem to.....
provide some lip protection for my wheels.
Handling is very nice on dry pavement - I do not notice much difference between these and the SO3s I was using before (and they are less expensive) -
Wet traction is great, as was wet traction with SO3s - this was a concern of mine before buying them, but I'm really happy with them in the rain.
Wear - I can't tell yet, haven't had them on long enough.
What else can I tell you? I've had 2 sets of SO3s and these seem as good to me. Better price - pretty cool looking tread pattern too.
