HELP! Is there a way to easily remove the 3rd brake light housing w/o removing the rear deck cover?
I couldn't find anything conclusive in the archives. I've got the rear deck cover pried up a little bit now but it's still a major PITA to remove it.
I'm hoping I can just remove the brake light housing, but I want to make sure it's safe before I pry really hard with a flathead screwdriver.
TIA.

Cover, yes - slide to the interior to the car. Light assy, no - has two
screws that attach from under the shelf. Have to partially remove the shelf to get tothem thru holes in the metal support deck or remove it all together.

Update - PSA: No need to remove anything to clean rear window area (more)
I had a bunch of crap buildup between the 3rd brake light and the rear window. That's why I wanted to remove the stuff to get to it.
Finally I realized I could use a flexible plastic ruler to wedge a paper towel in there that I had sprayed with Windex. It did the trick.
