Default Here they are: Status Racing Carbon Fiber Laguna Seats [PICS]

Alright, here they are. These are the Status Racing Laguna Seca seats (Carbon Fiber shell with leather, perforated center). I know a lot of people were aware of the "Netami" situation but Josh and I worked out a sponsorship deal and I can't stress how happy I am that I choose these over the Netami's. Further research revealed that it would cost a very large sum of money to replicate those seats to Status standards and in the end, just plain was not worth the trouble and effort.

With that aside, let's move on. I don't think i've ever been able to pick up a car seat with just my pinky...Status states that the Carbon Fiber Laguna seats weigh in at a featherlight 11.5 lbs - It definetly feels like it! The carbon fiber weave is fantastic and perfectly matches and complements the interior trim. A custom shift **** is on the way to showcase even more that lovely material - but that's another story.

Sitting in the seats (keep in mind this is with the seats out) they feel very supportive. They are not too supportive where you will feel uncomfortable, but it holds you in a nice comfortable snug position. I can already tell my back will feel better on the long road trips compared to the horrendous stocks.

Along with the seats came sliders (unknown of which kind, Josh could fill you all in), side brackets, all the mounting hardware, wedge brackets (will be here next week, new design!), and of course an Achtuning and Status Racing T-shirt and some Status stickers. Thanks Josh!

Seats will be in hopefully by next week when the brackets come in. From there, i'll have a full review on the functionality of the seats. Everything from support through corners, to everyday comforts and increased acceleration as a result of the weight reduction. Click on the link below for a lot more pics! Again, thank you to Josh at Achtuning/Status Racing - great guy to deal with on a personal level who also stands strong with his products.

Click for Pics!

Default Glad to see my old seats found a new home.

Make sure to really tighten everything down when you mount up the sliders and brackets, otherwise you will feel like you're riding on an old wooden roller coaster (sliding and bouncing all over the place). Also be carefull of how you mount the seat belt or it will rip the cover.

Default Sorry bro, but this is pure pimpn, you came out vocal about what is fairly correct

and then Josh offered you a deal "sponsorship" or whatever and now your pimpin it.

Sorry there is zero credibility here, it's really obvious, at least others have hid it..

I'm not against saying something nice, about Josh's service, the seats but to try to convince others that they should pay what $xxxx.00 per seat just so you can earn your discount.

Trying not to be an ***, hell I don't quite mind Josh, he is a good guy and is trying. In fact he sent me wheels in a very timely fashion and I gave him kudo's, but what your doing is pure pimpin, let's see who else was like this, Oh Ya "Prophet"

Default The new brackets are much better

In fact, I just installed them in my car and I must say that they are the most secure racing seats I have ever felt. There is absolutely ZERO side to side movement. Thanks for your feedeback btw

Default He paid good money for them. He bought a used set btw!

I wasn't trying tobuy anyones loyalty, in fact I contacted him regarding his awesome video clips he made (not realizing it was the same guy ripping on the seats earlier) and we ended up talking about the seats. I told him I had a used set avail and he decided to go with them. No funny business here honest.

If anything it shows that I am very proud and confident in the quality of my product to send them to someone who was so vocal before.

Default Good to hear. The brackets were the only problem I had with them other than

not being FIA approved (but it sounds like you are taking care of that as well) and being built just a tad small for us *normal americans* :P

Look forward to checking out your reclinable, *american* fitting models.

Default I can't wait until you see our new seats. I should have pictures soon.

If they show up in time we will be launching them in a few weeks at HIN Seattle.

Can you say "composite adjustables"?

Default He may have paid good money...but he said it was a "sponsership deal"...which means he is

being compensated....which in this case is a reduced price.

Which I have no problem with....people or cars for that fact...but he was compensated for buying the seats...maybe they are better then the Netami seats I don't know.

Whatever the case....people can decide for themselves if they think the endorsment is paid for.

btw...Josh you are good at selling your products..... ABC comes to mind.
