Here's some random engine pics for those bored at work
I left work at lunch today I figured I'd reinstall the engine covers to get my mind off work. The front cover wouldn't fit without trimming near the oil dipstick. Save your breath on the heat wrap I've already received plenty of sh$t for it. Can you touch your ABS unit without getting burned? The engine bay almost looks stock with the covers installed!

Are you giving me a hard time?
I caught hell when I posted the thermo tec pics awhile back :-(
My ABS unit controller failed (common failure) and a new one cost me $1050. After tearing my old one apart, I noticed the circuits are designed to use the aluminum shell as a heat sink. I really don't know which electrical component fails or what causes it.
I'm only speculating to think that lowering the average temp of the ABS unit by blocking radiant exhaust manifold heat will help my $1050 last longer. The outer side is pulled down to allow some airflow.

"random engine pics":) APR bipipe raised height of driver side DV
Actually, I think it raised both but only the driver side is a problem, due to that hole for the oil dipstick.
