Default Hey, do you guys "break in" brand new tires when you get them? LOL...

just put a new set of T1-Rs on over the weekend. Was going to take them for a nice spin tonight. Should I break them in slowly? I know one is supposed to be careful at first since the tires still have a slippery gloss or something on them. Was wondering if I should take it easy for longevity of the tire or just rip it up!

I'll post some pics and give first impressions tomorrow.

Default do a couple awd burnouts lol...

naw just joking, not sure how u should break then in...regular driving I'd guess...you'd need a good 1k miles on them to write a review on them I think.

Default No break-in required, but

just FYI, with race tires it is a good idea to slowly bring them up to operating temp then let them sit for at least a day or two before really "using" them.

I don't think there's any need to do that with street tires so just bear in mind that they do have a slick substance on them initially (mold release compound).
