Hey Guys! Some GOOD or BAD news today! Need help deciding what to do!?!?
 

OK so i was on the highway today and accelerating past 100 and i heard this sound from my engine that sounded like PPPPHHEEEEEEEWWWWWW!!! OR something like that. So called my buddy that owns this racing store and he told me that my turbos are going because they hooked up the vag com and no error codes showed up. So he said since i have warranty, once they blow they will pay for the labor and parts for new ko3s.. but he said if i gave him an extra 300 bucks he will put k04s in. But none of the extra stuff just the trubos. I never planned on a turbo upgrade because it too expensive for me... (i just graduated high school and i dont get that many hours at work). So i'm kinda excited but the thing is that my warranty expires in about 10 months. So should i work my turbos harder? What would you guys do? How can i break them faster? Any qtr mile or 0-60 timings with S4's with apr and just K04s? Too many questions but if i know they will all be answered because everyone on this forum is always soo helpful.

Did the car hesitate after the PPPHHHEEEWW? Maybe you popped an IC hose.

sounds like an intake hose my have popped off. that's not what blown turbos sound like.

off your buddy is guessing at the turbo situation.

2nd, if he offers to put K04's in place of the K03's at only $300 more, go for it. That's cheaper than the hardware he needs to put them in.

3rd, I wish you the best with the warrantee company easily paying for turbos.

It's all a gamble, so roll the dice.

hell I want to meet with his bubby and gave him $500 extra so I can get K04 upgrade......

I dont know cause in like regular driving it is really quiet only after like 100 i get that sound???

Don't go over 100 and you'll be fine.

Seriously, it might be the muffler bearings, you might want to have them checked out.........
