hmm. i was tearing down one of my heads and noticed the cam had machined itself into the front
bearings. wonder what would cause that, oil starvation?

not good. exhaust cam? looks almost like there was a balance issue on mine and it ate into the
bottom bearings.. has both cam followers jammed in.
surprisingly enough though the cam itself looks good. |

Ummm - oil starvation would be a "not likely" -
Oil starvation and metal to metal contact would lead to friction induced heating - ceasing being more likely - rather than the cutting of metal.

Yep, exhaust cam snap. Learned my lesson for buying an engine on Ebay... It made 445whp though;)
