also. I commute to NYC quite often (atleast 2-3 times a week).
Coilovers are sorta out of the question. They are way too ****in expensive for my situation. I was thinking just getting some springs using the stock struts? Will that even be a decent ride then? Do i need the struts also?
Dropped S4's look freakin nuts.

I have a leased S4 with H&R Street Coilovers and hit NYC at least twice a week..
As long as you're not slammed you should be fine. I'm at about 25" from ground to center of fender all around.
As far as the leasing goes, I've got lots of mods and will try private sale before lease end or return everything to stock and sell the mods for whatever I can get.

YES! go with the eibach springs. Cheap and you can use stock struts with them.
Or check out the coilover specials here. I'm ordering the KW v2s tomorrow! I know they're expensive... bah..
But seriously, my friend just put on the eibachs. Looks sweet on his car.

http://www.theracestore.com/</a

must get new springs too
leased? who cares. Who the hell turns their car in on a lease anyway? Just trade it in like a purchased car (as if the bank DOESN'T own a financed car) or buy it outright. What's the difference? The only difference between leasing and financing is the cash flow.

Also consider used coilovers...
I got H&R Street coilovers with 500K miles (claimed) on it for about the price of a shock&spring combo. I had it installed with a 1.5" drop and find it too low. I will be raising it this weekend. I decided against non-adjustable suspension since I would have had to live with the ride height, like it or not.

Just Curious...
Is H&R's lifetime warranty transferable? If it is the mileage on them wouldn't matter and it would be a great deal for someone buying used. I'm wondering because I will probably eventually be selling mine.
