Default Hmmm...was at the local tire store today getting my summer/wheels and tires mounted...and

was browsing thru a catalog of wheels. I saw some wheels from A!Avantgarde that looked nice...There was a really nice 6 spoker. I wonder if they clear the S4 front brakes. anyone know?

Default Markbradford just picked up a set on the A4 forum.

They didn't clear his APR SIII brakes. He ended up with a 5mm spacers to buy the extra clearance he needed. I can't remember the name of the set he bought, but put a post up on the A4 forum and ask him. I think they were six spokers though.

Default A!Avantgarde (the company) no longer exists AFAIK, but their 3-piece SLR does fit ------->

I dont' think the 1-piece SL clear though.

Default well, the 1 piece avantgarde's don't clear APR A4 brakes

so I'm guessing they won't clear stock s4 brakes either. Mark's getting spacers - we'll see how it goes.

Default If it fits, it's by a very small margin. I know the 3 piece does not fit on an A4 with APR/Stoptech

calipers. A friend of mine ended up hunting for spacers at the 11th hour, when installing the brake kit.

Default Well, SPP has them listed on their site.

I thought it was that the U.S. distributor had gone out of business, but the company still exists in Europe. But SPP seems to have the connections to get the wheels.

A!

Only with spacers. Not a great idea.

Default Correct. I needed about 2-3mm. NOTE - there is even LESS clearance on an APR L3 S4 brake kit!!!!

You'll need at LEAST a 5mm spacer, if not 8mm.
