Default How can a 2000 S4 have a 2001 S4 badge??

My brother just picked up a 2000 S4. He ran a Carfax report on it and it came up year 2000, but when I saw it, it had a 2001+ S4 badge on it - both front and back. What am I missing?? TIA.

Default Easy. The old one got ripped off. Owner/Dealer replaced with new one.

My 2000 came like that. But I replaced with old badge again. Easy.

I could see the back one, but both front and back and the new style badge....

Default Check the steering wheel.......

That badge would be a little tougher to replace.

I believe it has the old style one. As well as the gauges. Did some 2000 models come like this on purpose?

Front is even easier to replace than back - it's just clip on

No, several folks here have replaced their y2k old style badges with the new style.

Default I changed mine, I prefer the old badge. Check instrument panel, old=speedometer, new=tach.

IIRC, the badges are about $30 for the set.
