Hydro-jacks cost pennies. Get one and some stands. You never know what else you might do.

Sears sells Craftsman 3 ton hydraulic floor jack with 2 jack stands for $99. 2.25 ton jack is $29.

Default i'm using it as a computer speaker stand...

use it for emergencies only.

if you go to pep boys, they sell a hydraulic jack with the seam cutout that'll fit perfectly over the seams of your jacking points.

they come in a carrying case too. maximum height is, i believe, 15 inches. and total allowable weight at that height is 2200 lbs. i'm trying to remember this so dont quote me on that.

regardless, it's perfect for cars that have seams running through the jack points.

Default Mod needed!

I've used to change a flat twice before.
I ended up buying myself a hydro-jack and a couple of jack stands, since I change my wheels for the Winter, as well as the car height in the Summer.
Best mod ever. I still have the stock jack though!
