How come the cost of parts can vary so much from dealership to dealership? <m>
Turns out I have a bad egt on the pass side. So I call my local dealership and they tell me its going to cost 273 bucks... I say ok I'll come by later today. But then I call the dealership in Dallas they tell me 227??? I think ok that guy made a mistake so I call one last dealership, they tell me 317!!!! How can the mark up vary so much from dealership to dealership. Its not the size because the biggest dealership didnt have the lowest price and they also didnt have the highest? So I had my buddy buy it from me from the 227 dealership and he is going to bring it down next week. Makes no sense at all.

I don't think they have a 2.7 biturbo engine on a VW?
the EGT's are right behind the turbos and they have steelbraided lines so I wouldnt be able to just splice the sensor off like I did with the O2 sensors
