Default I believe you have to "associate" files that you want it to recognize in the....

Music Manager software that it came with. If you already put them on the DMS it might work by "Repairing the DMS" in the options menu.

I will say I had a few problem in the beginning (Voice commands weren't working) I e-mailed them and I received an e-mail with the URL that had a fix in less than an hour. I had another question a few weeks later and they replied and helped just as quick.

You could also contact TeddyBgame in the "Audio Forum".

Default Correct, with Mp3's or Mpeg-4's that have "DRM" you can not transfer them to the DMS, but

I though he said he had CD's he made, not files downloaded from I-tunes? It's the same way with Napster, you can only transfer files that have been paid for. You can always download "TuneBite". It is software that will convert DRM (protected MP3's & Mpeg-4's)into whatever format you want. It's free too.
