Default How do you remove that plug in the bottom of the accordian hose (the one that says motor and has...

a down arrow on it... doesnt seem to want to come out, and I am trying to take the accordian portion of the intake out so I can fit on my pressure tester. Does it pull straight out...maybe Im just too weak, but damn, I have put the etawz to it and it wont seem to budge...Thanks if anyone can help.

wiggle and pull straight down..be patient, it does eventually come out.

Just keep at it. Unfortunately, it's even more difficult to get it back on!!!

Why dont I have one of these plugs? or have I just never noticed when taking the hose out?

I don't think they're on 01.5 and newer cars...

Default Just keep going at it...

one thing you could try and do is move the side closes to the intake Y pipe and bend it so you can see where the plug is, then taking the handle end of a screw driver or something push it out. Its just being held in with what looks like a rubber valve that has a little hole in it. The rubber is pretty solid so it makes it extremely difficult to get out. Hope this helps, good luck!!!

They are only on 01.5 and 02's I broke mine once trying to get it off

agreed and a bit of mobile one lube makes it much easier!
