Hey everyone. I own an OBDI 2.0L GTI and am sick of the same old exhaust setup for my car. I want something more quiet/better sounding. I have a TT race downpipe(no cat), TT 2.25" piping with one small resonator, and am looking to either do a 20th AE GTI muffler or an S4 muffler. I am stumped on which muffler to go with. I have no clue which flows better. The 20th AE muffler is smaller compared to the S4, but that's besides the point because I can fit both. FYI, the 20th AE muffler is different than the stock GTI 1.8T muffler. Can you guys please help me out! Thanks in advance.

and goes quite high up into the trunk of the car, are you sure it will fit ? It is a very quiet system and certainly handles the stock gas volume of the S4 engine.

I'm 95% sure it will fit. It is what will perform better. I have no clue how to decide! What I do like about the S4 muffler is that it has dual polished tips vs. the 20thAE's single tip.

it is quiet also , the problem is how you can fit it in.

you're probably better off comparing stock MAF values, but I'd have to guess that the stock S4 muffler flows better than the stock 20AE muffler.

Here's the full shape if you are interested, though I'm guessing it sounds like you're just going to use the rear muffler and tips, right?

It is straight through, roughly 2.5" diameter. FYI, it appears as though the RS4 uses the same S4 mufflers, larger pipes are used between for the whole system, though.
