Default How embarassing! I've just lost the intra-family horespower war.

For the past 5 years I've always had cars with the most power, quickest 0-60 times and highest skid-pad G ratings. Now this perfect record is about to come to a crashing end. In search of a convertible, I innocently suggested to my mother that the MB SLK32 AMG looked like a sweet car. Turns out she agrees; so much so that there'll be one in our garage next spring, or earlier if the dealership can find one. This gives me 6-8 months to "respond" in some manner or get whooped on by my mother everytime we take seperate cars. I guess what comes around goes around, but I'd prefer not to stare at the back end of the SLK. So what am I to do??? I guess I could just suck it up and try to catch up in the corners, but let's leave that as a last resort. Are there any downpipes out there that will work with the stock chip? I want to keep up, but not at the expense of paying for replacement turbos. High flow cats? Cut out one of the Borla mufflers??? HELP! Payback is definately a bitch.

Default as long as all the O2 sensors are in place..they All work with the stock chip

so that means MTM, Milltek and the new APR (not 100% on APR though)

Default I don't think you have much to worry about.....(unless you are stock)

"This is not to say that the SLK32 is no fun to drive, because the application of 349 horses to a rear-wheel-driven, short-wheelbase, lightweight car is bound to be a hoot, especially in a straight line, where the SLK32 reaches 60 mph in 5.2 seconds...."<ul><li><a href="http://www.automobilemag.com/features/865.html">http://www.automobilemag.com/features/865.html</a</li></ul>

Default umm the C322 has the same HP and 0-60 time, but weighs MORE?

I think the SLK #'s are artificially high

to make the C32 AMG look better

MB predicts 0-60 of ~4.7-4.8 sec. if you can get the rear wheels to hook up properly.
