Default maybe i should ask: what's the highest mileage S4 without waterpump (m)..
failure or swap?

Default Just changed the belts and pump at 82k.
The water pump had signs of beginning failure....slight leaking around the bearing/seal. Wasn't noticable until I took it off. Pumps costs ~ $150 IIRC.

Default Mine blew at 31k. The entire repair job was about $1200.
I have the paperwork at home if you want/need the part numbers. E-mail me privately.

Default Mine went @ 60K, repair costs identical...the heat was intense.
I should've known cause it was making htis ticking sound for about 20K before it went. Almost like playing cards on the forks of a bicycle.
